Requirements

  • BS degree in engineering, or relevant science (chemistry, biology, physics), preferred.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience, in a manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • MS Office suite literacy and fluency, required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and collaborate to achieve deliverables.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage personnel effectively, providing performance feedback and assisting in providing growth and development opportunities.
  • Ability to be a resource throughout the organization.
  • Must work in accordance with Health and Safety regulations, Company Rules, Plant Rules, policies and procedures.
  • Must use or wear equipment, protective devices, or certain clothing as required by the company.

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma green belt; black belt; lean master certification, or similar, preferred.
  • Internal/external ISO 9000 certification ISO 4000 and OSHA 1801, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes policies and procedures designed to promote quality and ensures compliance with applicable customer expectations/agreements.
  • Analyzes applicable data, encouraging positive performance and addressing negative trends.
  • Leads and ensures processes needed for Quality Management Systems are established, implemented, and maintained.
  • Manages internal and external (supplier) audit programs. Performs quality inspections as scheduled.
  • Leads the quality management of all final products leaving the site.
  • Liaises with customers and other external stakeholders.
  • Manages SPC & performance results; gather relevant data producing reports and analyzing trends.
  • Remains current on all quality standards by tracking developments in customer agreements/expectations, auditing site & operations to ensure compliance with all quality regulations and standards.
  • Leads applicable risk management activities.
  • Investigates & implements corrective actions as may be necessary to maintain high quality standards.
  • Maintains fiscal budget of quality operations.
  • Monitors and advises the site leadership team on QMS performance and improvement needs based on operational KPIs.
  • Provides strong, positive leadership that motivates and engages facility leadership & workforce with respect to quality initiatives.
  • Travel: approximately 15% (as needed for visits, audits, customer relations)
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
