The Manager Quality is responsible for managing the receiving inspection team in Houston and also the non-conforming product inventory to disposition. This team also supports the Customer Experience Product Support team for questions about material in stock. Requirements

  • 5 years’ previous experience in Quality Management and previous experience in Warehouse Operations Management and inventory
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in work experience
  • Strong aptitude for and proficiency navigating in ERPs (JDE)
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and changing priorities
  • Ability to achieve results both independently and through others by fostering a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
  • Demonstrate exceptional communication across all contact channels, including email, chat and phone
  • Must exhibit proficient analytical and computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and outlook
  • Proven background in use of quality tools including but not limited to six sigma, DMAIC, root cause / 8D
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, early mornings, late evenings
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered for this role

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in interior design, custom home building products, luxury home furnishings and/or lighting industry a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage receiving inspection of product coming in from suppliers
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, customer experience, supplier quality and supply chain teams to address and prevent product quality issues.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspections
  • Generate regular quality reports and metrics for leadership review, highlighting trends, root causes, and resolution status.
  • Support new product development teams by performing FAI (first article inspections)
  • Support the Customer Experience Product Support team with stock reviews
  • Manage all non-conforming inventory and assure rapid disposition
  • Initiate rework of defective product with production as needed
