This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a hardworking team of technicians and engineers, you will be responsible for leading a team of GD&T and precision measurement experts and quality engineers. You will also be implementing and maintaining quality standards across all assigned, leading inspection teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards. Special Mentions: Relocation provided No Travel expected Shifts available: M-F, 1st shift (6:30 am - 4 pm) Interviews will include a technical assessment

Requirements

  • College Degree, STEM preferred
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in quality management roles
  • 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or management capacity
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, etc.)
  • Proficiency with statistical process control (SPC) methods and quality tools
  • Experience with quality documentation, non-conformance management, and corrective action processes

Nice To Haves

  • Direct experience working with or leading teams using advanced precision measurement equipment techniques and equipment, including Laser Tracker, Laser Radar, HandyScan, CMM, Faro, Photogrammetry, etc.)
  • Professional certifications (ASQ CQE, CQA, CMQ/OE, Six Sigma Black Belt)
  • Experience implementing or managing Lean manufacturing initiatives
  • Knowledge of industry-specific quality standards and regulatory requirements
  • Experience with quality management software systems and data analytics tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of precision measurement experts supporting site activities
  • Interface with site, operations and program peers to provide support, negotiate priorities and determine appropriate methods to accomplish requested tasks
  • Integrate supplied services across all Florida locations
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and inspec
  • Establish quality metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality concerns
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements
