About The Position

Ensure that the local Quality strategy and site master plan is accomplished by planning and executing tasks that are critical to achieve the area goals and targets defined with the commercial and operational collaboration teams. To lead successfully this role and make sure all results from the different quality teams will allow the site to become a site with a competitive advantage to receive & get new initiatives. To implement, localize, and deploy Quality Global strategy and Quality Management System requirements and procedures. To become the link between manufacturing and commercial + R&D areas. To ensure all initiatives are planned and executed according to business needs. To deploy and implement all regulatory and compliance needs in the site in order to meet and successfully receive any audit. To set the expectations for the different teams in location in order to meet ONTEX standards. To deploy a Quality team in the facility capable of implementing all Quality Systems required for lines start up E2E including Raw Materials and Finished Product warehousing. This role leads the entire Quality scope in a new facility until Start Up is completed and sustained for at least 3 consecutive years without substantial modifications. The implementation and coordination of the ONTEX Quality Management System in adherence with ISO 9001-2018 or equivalent falls under this role. Leads and deploys the local Quality team but requires Group support to ensure adherence to ONTEX standards is fulfilled. This role requires self leadership but also leadership skills to negotiate, collaborate and work with other leaders and managers. Based on the information provided by the quality team, the owner of this role is responsible to create the proposals and grade the different courses of action. Decision proposals to leaders or managers and proper tasks prioritization are the most complex responsibilities in this role. Servant leadership, technical mastery, time organization capability delivered and strong management developed. Discipline to align and prioritize activities and initiatives.

Requirements

  • Engineering/Quality bachelors related degree.
  • 5 years of experience in a quality/manufacturing management environment.
  • Continuous Improvement knowledge. (TPM, SIX SIGMA, LEAN, IWS…)
  • Demonstrated experience of product and production processes in the plant.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality management systems.
  • English written, spoken and verbal intermediate, any other language is considered as an asset .
  • Intermediate knowledge of IT systems (ERP’s, Office or G suites)
  • Audit knowledge proven.
  • Proven Management skills.
  • Project Management evidence.
  • Be able to work with cross functional teams and communicate with team inside the plant environment and outside with group resources.
  • Analytical skills and communication skills with internal and external audience.
  • Proficient problem solving and root cause analysis.
  • Servant leadership and strong conflict solver.

Responsibilities

  • Leads by example.
  • Identify and request capability needs in the team assigned.
  • Figures as the technical expert in the area assigned.
  • Solves and negotiate issues/initiatives with other area managers or leaders.
  • Propose solutions based on a data driven mindset.
  • Communicate with the manufacturing, supply chain and suppliers any opportunity or deviation to procedures.
  • Verifies quality of root cause analysis involving the assigned areas.
  • Collaborate with KPI’s owners and improve them in assigned areas.
  • Execute tasks with a PDCA mindset.
  • Start considering all costs related to the area in order to actively participate in stream budget evaluations.
  • Is the Plant Managers reference for all Quality related issues.
  • Is the executioners for Quality Directors strategy.
