About The Position

Fralock is an engineered solutions provider of specialty components and subassemblies using advanced materials for high reliability, severe environment, and technically challenging applications. Established in 1967, Fralock is a critical solutions provider to Fortune 500 corporations, government, and targeted OEMs in various industries including Semiconductor Equipment Manufacturing, Medical and Life Science, Aerospace and Defense, Industrial, Electronics, and Energy. The company is headquartered in Valencia, CA, with manufacturing locations throughout Northern and Southern California. The Quality Manager works in a hands-on leadership capacity, partnering closely with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Program Management to ensure that quality is built into processes. This role is responsible for leading, maintaining, and continuously improving Fralock’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 13485 (as applicable), FDA requirements, customer standards, and regulatory requirements. The Quality Manager manages all quality processes to ensure regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and operational effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of ERP software, MRP, Scheduling and Planning systems, MS Office
  • Demonstrated competence in addressing Cost of poor Quality through a data-driven and metric-driven approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A. /B.S.) in related engineering field; and/or, ten (10) years of experience in progressive leadership roles; or equivalent years of experience and education.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in Aerospace, Defense, Medical, or Semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Fluent with Made2Manage MRP/ERP system
  • Knowledge of military and commercial specifications and standards
  • Lean manufacturing /six sigma training and experience

Responsibilities

  • Managing the site QMS for compliance to industry and customer standards.
  • Leading Management Review meetings and ensuring actions are followed through.
  • Leading customer, third party, and regulatory audits and managing follow up actions, including ensuring there is continuous audit readiness.
  • Supervising the maintenance and effectiveness of the Quality Systems, including reports on RMA's, NCR's, Customer Corrective Actions, and internal Corrective Actions.
  • Leading customer interface, including supporting new program launches, First Article Inspection (AS9102), and customer-specific quality requirements.
  • Managing and supporting supplier qualifications, performance, corrective actions, and conducting audits as needed or required.
  • Partnering with internal customers and leaders to reduce scrap, rework, and process variation
  • Using data, trend analysis, and KPI’s to drive continuous improvement
  • Leading Quality department personnel and participate in the hiring, performance management, work leveling, and development of employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.
