About The Position

Amentum, a large government contract company, is seeking Quality Manager to support the WEXMAC Camp East Montana Detention Facility contract in El Paso, TX. POSITION SUMMARY The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient execution of the quality program by leading and managing QC personnel in the operation and maintenance of the Program’s Quality Management System (QMS). Other duties include: Coordinates with Government and Contractor senior management to maintain Quality Assurance and safety programs IAW policies, processes, procedures and controls. Manages Contractor Quality Inspectors. Manages the quality and/or safety programs to ensure compliance under the contract. Conducts quality and safety inspections/audits of the contract operations and sub-contractors. Develops Quality Assurance/Safety/Hazardous Waste programs, manual and revisions. Conducts research, develops corrective action alternatives and tracks responses for problem areas identified in internal and customer audit findings. Coordinates with the local USG Compliance point of contact. Manages the inspection team, including inspection requirements, trend analysis, technical order publication library, and maintenance programs. Provides guidance and direction to achieve compliance with all applicable safety and quality standards. Provides leadership and knowledge to staff members and teams as necessary. Develop staff and methodology to fulfill duties and communicate program metrics as needed. Maintains awareness of regulatory changes and disseminates safety-related bulletins, technical changes and literature to work site personnel. Investigates mishaps and injuries. Oversees Technical Library. Ensures compliance with company programs, Department of Homeland Security, and Government directives. Ensures modification and maintenance activities are conducted utilizing applicable documents. Monitors quality deficiencies and coordinates corrective actions. Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Requirements

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in preparing and enforcing QMS programs on contracts of similar size and complexity.
  • Knowledge and experience includes, but is not limited to: construction methods, engineering, estimating, equipment, materials, contract administration, subcontractor management, claim negotiations, project controls, labor relations, finance, manpower development and utilization and the development and maintenance of customer and competition contacts.
  • Strong management skills
  • Excellent communication, effective leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of Department of Defense, Navy and United States government structure and agency procedures and policies for identifying and developing potential business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of various computer skills is desirable (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SeeSOR, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
  • Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in corrections, law enforcement, or institutional compliance preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of detention facility regulations and operational standards.
