About The Position

Pentagon Technologies is looking for a Quality Manager to join our team in Hayward, CA. The Quality Manager is ultimately accountable for the development, execution, compliance and continuous improvement of our quality systems and documentation control. A strong candidate will work with a high degree of integrity in a fast-paced environment, while leading their team and fostering good working relationships and knowledge sharing to accomplish goals and earn customer trust.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in related STEM field with min of 5 years relevant experience (managing quality of Product, Process, Quality System as per international standards like ISO 9001)
  • People management experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Semiconductor Industry a plus
  • ASQ Certification, Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing certification a plus
  • ISO9001 lead auditor training/certification preferred
  • JMP training completion

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely reporting of safety observations, quality performance, metrics and status of projects
  • Plans, directs, and executes actions and activities concerned with the development, application, and maintenance of quality standards and coordinate the day-to-day activities to deliver quality control support to the manufacturing organization, including conducting training within the organization
  • Identify scope, plan, test, and implement improvement opportunities soliciting input and support from applicable department personnel and management
  • Track process improvement and quality management programs, to enhance success of projects and monitor subsequent performance
  • Interfaces with external Customers/Vendors as well as internal Sales, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Operations and Engineering teams routinely to ensure quality control methods are implemented and resolve quality system and product quality issues maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Applies test methodology, engineering and product knowledge in the design of tests and testing strategies for the analysis and qualification of products
  • Monitor and trend non-conformances; Lead Failure Analysis and 8D/RCCA
  • Manage Quality Audits schedule: planning, facilitating, findings closure, improvements
  • Deploy and manage Statistical Process Control programs, Measurement System Analysis studies per Process Control Plans; review data for process improvements
  • Performs product and process risk assessment activities, including Design/Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (DFMEA/PFMEA)
  • Lead development of Standard Operating Procedures, review/release process, company training
  • Define, develop, and sustain a corporate level Document Control system and Change Management system
  • Travel to other Pentagon Technologies locations, vendor, and customer facilities within the continental US, as needed.
