PURPOSE Responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring quality standards as they pertain to design and production of BFS manufactured products. Oversees the work of the Quality Specialists. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Establish quality standard guidelines for truss and wall panel manufacturing. Assess the level of production quality at all truss and panel manufacturing facilities based against the established standard. Make frequent customer site visits to review quality standard compliance. Oversees the work of Quality Specialists and ensuring timely completion of work assignments that meet company standards. Work with design, sales and manufacturing to identify and resolve any issues related to quality. Other duties may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Supervises assigned employees including staff selection and training; planning, assigning and directing work; conducting performance reviews; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provide leadership and guidance to coach, motivate, and lead team members to their optimum performance levels and career development. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Associate's degree (A. A.) in Construction or Business Management Five years of experience in residential construction, or component manufacturing supervision with quality management experience. COMPETENCIES Communication skills to effectively interface with customers and other industry professionals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Knowledge of wood frame construction to include roof, floor, wall framing Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities. Must be able to travel frequent to customer sites Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite WORK ENVIRONMENT / PHYSICAL ACTIVITY The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
