About The Position
The person filling this position will develop plans and have vision where Amsted Rail - Petersburg to continuously improve upon current processes and develop suppliers to maintain a steady flow of consistent quality products and processes to meet the ever-changing needs of the company's business. This role involves leading, managing, and planning the quality control activities performed by the product launch team both domestically and internationally. The individual will create, communicate, and execute the company's long-range quality strategy, develop control procedures to ensure compliance with internal, customer, and regulatory standards, and ensure proper documentation to maintain compliance. Additionally, the role requires monitoring production processes and working with operations to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner. The candidate will assess the strength of the supplier base, ensure high levels of process and product quality, promote the company's operational visions, maintain professional contact with employees and suppliers, and champion continuous improvement activities.
