The Mrs. Fields facility is seeking a Quality Manager to oversee both quality control and quality assurance for Mrs. Fields products, contract manufacturers, and company facilities. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety, adhering to regulatory requirements and internal policies. The Quality Manager will lead the HACCP/Food Safety Team, ensuring compliance with the Corporate Supplier Approval Program and the Corporate Product Development Program. This includes obtaining and maintaining updated product specifications for all ingredients, food products, and packaging, while ensuring compliance with FDA and state regulations. In addition to managing product specifications, the Quality Manager will maintain accurate traceability records for all incoming and outgoing products. Collaboration is key in this role, as the manager will work closely with marketing, product development, purchasing, and plant production teams to ensure that all requirements outlined in SQF Module 2/Product Development and Realization are met during the product development process. The role also involves managing customer complaints and product non-conformities, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to prevent future incidents. The Quality Manager will oversee several corporate programs, including Pest Control, Environmental Monitoring, Allergen Control, Food Defense, and Sanitation programs. Furthermore, this position requires working with the Human Resource Department to ensure that all employees receive the necessary training as mandated under SQF, including GMP Training, Food Defense Training, Allergen Training, Basic Food Safety Training, HACCP Training, and Sanitation/Chemical Handling Training. Other duties may be assigned as needed, making this a dynamic and essential role within the organization.
