About The Position

The Quality Manager II is responsible for leading quality management activities across a project and ensuring quality standards are effectively implemented throughout all phases of execution. This role supports the Project Team by developing and maintaining project quality plans, overseeing contractor quality performance, coordinating audits and surveillance activities, and providing guidance on quality-related issues. The Quality Manager II also works closely with other disciplines, project management, contractors, suppliers, and start-up/operations teams to ensure alignment and compliance with project requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science required.
  • Experience in project construction or quality assurance/control related to engineering, procurement, and construction activities.
  • Experience in quality management and coordination of surveillance and inspection activities for oil and gas projects.
  • Previous experience as a Project Quality Manager or equivalent experience managing project quality systems in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
  • Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, agility and fit for duty.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Quality discipline input to the Project Organization Plan and support staffing of Quality personnel for the Project Team.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan, surveillance programs, procedures, and quality tools.
  • Promote quality awareness throughout the project organization.
  • Interface with other disciplines and provide quality input into project plans and activities.
  • Oversee contractors’ quality-related activities and deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Act as Quality Assurance Coordinator when one is not assigned to the project.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and resources to Quality Assurance Coordinators and other quality personnel.
  • Ensure project-specific indoctrination and general training for Quality personnel is conducted, and provide quality-related training to the Project Team as needed.
  • Confirm contractors have adequate quality staffing, plans, procedures, processes, and documentation in place.
  • Ensure appropriate review and approval of contractor and supplier quality deliverables, including plans, criticality ratings, and inspection and test plans.
  • Coordinate review of deviations related to equipment and materials.
  • Schedule and lead audits of contractors, suppliers, and the Project Team, and participate in contractor audits as appropriate.
  • Steward audit findings through timely resolution and closure.
  • Manage the resolution of quality issues and monitor overall project quality performance.
  • Track, coordinate, and report project quality metrics to the Project Team and Project Quality function.
  • Interface with start-up and operations teams to support project turnover and ensure understanding of project quality requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with project and functional quality coordinators and support quality initiatives and tool development efforts.
