The Quality Management Systems (QMS) Specialist at Aero Gear is responsible for planning and conducting activities related to the company's Quality Management System. This role involves maintaining and updating QMS procedures, leading audit activities, overseeing change management, and managing quality records. The position is crucial for ensuring compliance with industry standards and continuous improvement within the organization.

  • Maintain and control the updating of Aero Gear's QMS procedures and forms.
  • Incorporate new specifications into the QMS.
  • Manage standard work (Wiki) creation and updating.
  • Lead audit activities for Aero Gear, including scheduling and managing external audits.
  • Host auditors and coordinate closure of any audit noncompliance.
  • Manage internal audit schedule and conduct internal audits.
  • Oversee the implementation of change management and manage specification revision evaluation.
  • Review and distribute all customer Quality alerts and updates.
  • Manage company eye exam and visual inspection calibrations.
  • Oversee the control and archiving of Quality records.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree is a plus.
  • Certified auditor is a plus.
  • Working knowledge and experience with AS9100, NADCAP, AS13100, etc.
  • Ability to assess risk and suggest changes.
  • Capable of preparing and conducting audits of all types and scope.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, OASIS, and NADCAP databases.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry standards.
  • Competitive salary ranging from $40,000 to $100,000 per year.
