Quality Management System Lead
About The Position
Job Responsibilities: Coordinate and manage Internal Audit schedule to ensure IATF requirements are implemented and working as intended for plant Quality Management System Integrate IATF, Internal and Customer Specific Requirements into plant procedures and QMS Work with and support Corporate Quality Systems to drive continual improvement items into plant systems Coordinate and manage internal Layered Process audit Schedule and findings through closure Oversee document control for plant Support internal plant Management of Change process and deviations Ensure plant deviations, Plant Quality Alerts are renewed or closed as needed Support management review for Quality Systems related items Support / drive corrective actions and follow up review for IATF Internal / Registrar Audit findings Support Customer audits (Ford Manufacturing Site Assessment, yearly control plan audits, etc.,) Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience preferred) Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive quality systems Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 Experience leading internal and external audits Proficiency in corrective action methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone) IATF 16949 Internal or Lead Auditor certification Experience with customer-specific requirements (OEM or Tier 1 – Ford, Stellantis) Familiarity with and or trained in AIAG Core Tools - APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans Experience with electronic QMS or document control systems Experience with creating process turtles
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field (or equivalent experience preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive quality systems
- Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949
- Experience leading internal and external audits
- Proficiency in corrective action methodologies (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone)
- IATF 16949 Internal or Lead Auditor certification
- Experience with customer-specific requirements (OEM or Tier 1 – Ford, Stellantis)
- Familiarity with and or trained in AIAG Core Tools - APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plans
- Experience with electronic QMS or document control systems
- Experience with creating process turtles
