As a Quality Leader at the Grand Junction, CO facility, you will be the central point of contact for all internal audit functions, managing internal audit plans, schedules, and corrective actions for Jabil's Management System. You will support the Quality Systems Manager in researching, formulating, and documenting quality, environmental, and business systems improvements, and evaluating their effectiveness. This role also involves assisting in the continuous improvement of the operating system and audit practices.

Requirements

  • Six years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ASQ certification as a Quality Manager, Quality Engineer, or Quality Auditor.
  • Professional clear communication, both verbal and written.
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO9000:2000, ISO14001, TL9000, BABT PS340, ISO13485, TS16949, ISO Q10011, ISO 14012, ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations including fractions, decimals, rate, ratio, percent, and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule instructions.
  • Ability to meet physical demands including sitting, standing, walking, attending meetings, and reading documents or computer screens.
  • Ability to work in office and manufacturing environments with noise ranging from low to moderate.
  • Ability to travel approximately 25%.
  • Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State (ITAR compliance).

Responsibilities

  • Audit and direct the internal audit function.
  • Coach and mentor Internal Audit staff.
  • Develop and manage audit plans, schedules, checklists, and training for the internal audit function.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational metrics and organizational goals.
  • Create and validate training curriculum within the area of responsibility.
  • Coordinate activities of large teams, maintaining focus during crises.
  • Ensure fair and consistent recognition and reward practices.
  • Provide a communication forum for idea exchange within the department.
  • Adapt communication style to individual team members and act as an internal consultant during audit findings presentations.
  • Understand campus strategic directions and implement Systems Audit strategies aligned with them.
  • Identify ways to reduce costs by streamlining processes and systems.
  • Utilize tools to monitor departmental cost trends and improve value.
  • Serve as subject matter expert in interpreting ISO9000-2000, TL9000, and ISO140000 standards.
  • Assist in process mapping and value‑add analysis.
  • Adhere to safety and health rules and regulations and comply with all procedures within the company security policy.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
