  • Inspect and test products at various stages in the production process.
  • Establish testing procedures to determine a product's dimensions and its mechanical, electrical, or chemical characteristics.
  • Set up and perform testing on materials, parts, or finished products to measure product performance under a variety of conditions.
  • Responsible for test results documentation.
  • After products have been fully tested, the quality control lead evaluates the data.
  • Prepare summaries to show how the product might differ from existing standards of quality and reliability.
  • Suggest changes in how products are made to achieve the best quality possible.
  • Recommend methods to minimize the amount of scrap, or leftover material, which is thrown away after a product has been manufactured.
  • Select and assign quality control duties, and evaluate the performance of the team in their assigned role.
  • Arrange trainings as related to improving quality control measures and ensures that labor relations requirements are met.
  • Maintain records and reports and issue correspondence, reviewing errors and their causes and giving advice to correct such errors
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Demonstrates technical skills.
  • Requires basic competency related to function.
  • Demonstrates basic functional and/or process knowledge and participates in process.
  • Has awareness of Flex technologies/ techniques.
  • Requires the ability to utilize charts, tables and specifications, and operate a variety of measuring instruments.
  • Basic understanding of typical quality tools, such as 8d, statistical process control, FEMA and control plans.
  • Use of the following tools may be required: Office Skills: telephones, data entry, office software to include word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation package.
  • Demonstrates advanced technical skills.
  • Demonstrates detailed functional knowledge and may lead process.
  • Has awareness of new technologies/ techniques.
  • ISO/FDA Auditing experience a plus.
  • ASQ certification as CQT, CQA, CQPA or CSSGB is desired
