About The Position

The Quality Lead plays a critical role in supporting the daily operations of our window manufacturing lines. This position partners closely with supervisors, production teams, and support functions to ensure that goals related to safety, quality, performance, and delivery are consistently achieved. The Quality Lead assists with coordinating workflow, training team members, and driving continuous improvement efforts to meet established plant objectives, including 0–365%, multiple remakes reduction, repair minimization, and quality-at-the-source performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or quality; previous leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of AMI/Alside production processes, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours or weekends based on business needs.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English, including the ability to: Read and interpret safety procedures, hazard warnings, and equipment instructions.
  • Accurately complete production records, quality checklists, and incident reports.
  • Communicate clearly with supervisors, maintenance staff, and team members.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fastpaced environment and motivation to develop expertise across multiple operational areas.
  • Strong attention to detail and the confidence to uphold quality requirements consistently and objectively.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals and roles across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Quality Manager in coordinating daily quality activities across designated production lines (e.g., Mezzo, Shapes, Iris, or other assigned areas).
  • Lead by example and ensure strict adherence to all safety rules, procedures, and required PPE.
  • Monitor workflow to confirm production schedules and quality targets are met, proactively addressing bottlenecks or concerns.
  • Perform in process quality checks to ensure all units meet AMI standards and customer expectations.
  • Assist with employee training, onboarding, and cross training to build a flexible, skilled workforce capable of supporting all required positions.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, production, and support departments to minimize quality fallout and prevent recurring issues.
  • Support the team in meeting and sustaining all quality goals and KPIs.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, standard operating procedures, and attendance expectations.
  • Provide daily feedback, quality updates, and observations to the Quality Specialist, Engineer, or Quality Manager.
