Job Summary Summary Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessment of patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
  • Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
  • Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support [ACLS] - Generic - HR Only preferred
  • Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
  • Oncology Certified Nurse [OCN] - Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC) preferred
  • Neonatal Advanced Life Support [NALS] - American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred
  • Clinical nursing experience 2-3 years required
  • Familiarity with the principles and skills needed for practical nursing to provide patient care and treatment.
  • Knowledgeable of the care required by respective age groups for which care is being provided.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records.
  • Administer medication to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects.
  • Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
  • Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
  • Collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess the learning needs and competencies of staff.
  • Demonstrates best practices for staff to follow.
  • May participate on teams or perform special projects/assignments.
