Requirements

  • Must have High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Interpersonal skills with good communication skills in team environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with MS Office and SAP preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct destructive & nondestructive examination (NDE) of physical properties as well as quality control (QC) inspections on products, materials, components, etc., at various stages of the production process ensuring adherence to established quality standards and metallurgical specifications
  • Captures and analyzes statistical data from processes to identify deviations or drift from standards.
  • Data entry to record results of inspections as required within SAP QM.
  • May include, visual and/or dimensional in process or final inspections of products as needed.
  • Verification of data accuracy for customer certificates of conformance as needed.
  • Develop proficiency in the setup, operation, and proper use of laboratory equipment, including hardness and density testers, microscopes and imaging software for microstructure analysis, and tools used for surface grinding, sectioning, polishing, and magnetic property testing.
  • Apply a working knowledge of relevant ASTM standards governing metallurgical testing and equipment operation.
  • Learn and master metallographic evaluation techniques to assess microstructures and identify potential anomalies, defects, or material irregularities.
  • Prioritize daily tasks and responsibilities in alignment with direction from quality leadership.
  • Support compliance with ISO 9001 by performing internal audits and contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
