Quality Lab Technician
About The Position
The Lab Technician is responsible for testing products at various stages of the manufacturing process to ensure all customer requirements and safety standards are met. This role uses multiple testing methodologies, inspection tools, and documentation systems to verify product quality and compliance. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous lab or manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Nice To Haves
- Magnetic Particle Inspection Certification preferred (training available)
Responsibilities
- Conduct receiving, in-process, and final inspections of mechanical properties, including tensile strength, hardness, and discontinuities
- Use tensile machines, hardness testers, mounting and polishing equipment, and magnetic particle inspection tools
- Program, set up, and safely operate testing equipment according to requirements
- Interpret test results against industry standards and customer specifications
- Verify and validate material chemistry certifications per specified standards
- Log, track, and maintain test results using computer systems and proprietary software
- Communicate non-conforming results with appropriate departments
- Perform other duties as requested and required
