About The Position

As a Quality Lab Technician at Companion Animal, you will "Own it" by taking full accountability for the integrity and safety of our companion animal nutrition products, ensuring every blend meets our rigorous quality standards before reaching the customer. Acting with purpose and care, you will execute critical inspections—including NIR and Mycotoxin testing—and manage the end-to-end sample process within LIMS to ensure total compliance with customer specifications and industry regulations. You will collaborate with intent by performing daily quality walks, reviewing production records for errors, and communicating deviations to the Q&FS Manager to resolve issues swiftly. By taking the initiative to suggest improvements to SOPs and assisting with audit preparations, you will drive results that matter, maintaining the "quality-centric culture" that defines Trouw Nutrition and Nutreco.

Requirements

Detail-oriented and accountable
Performance-driven individual
Strong deductive reasoning
High School Diploma (BS in Chemistry or Food Science preferred)
Valid driver’s licence
Forklift experience is an asset

Responsibilities

Taking full accountability for the integrity and safety of our companion animal nutrition products

Ensuring all finished products meet Nutreco monitoring standards
Identifying and troubleshooting production defects
Assisting with equipment calibration
Performing daily quality walks to maintain facility excellence
