About The Position

Lead a team of Quality Technicians to ensure adherence to the Quality Operating System and to serve as a technical resource to internal and external customers. Provide leadership and expertise in determining proper procedures and in communicating results. Drive process improvements and conduct effective training to team members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Polite and professional manner.
  • Previous fastener industry knowledge and experience.
  • Previous leadership experience and/or leadership training
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, be detail oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and track status and progress.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with internal team members and external customers and suppliers both domestically and overseas.
  • Strong comprehension and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ability to analyze and interpret data.
  • Willingness and desire to develop skills to take on additional responsibilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as large projects come in.
  • Gage control knowledge.
  • Blue Print Reading
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • ISO9001:2008 understanding.

Responsibilities

  • Commit to FIELD’s Mission Statement and Core Values.
  • Analyze and interpret data related to fastener product quality, customer requirements, and conformance to quality system standards.
  • Translate customer and Field strategies into objectives/action plans, and drive execution within the quality lab.
  • Provide leadership to the assigned team members in Quality including training, development, performance management, and direction of daily tasks.
  • Assist with the assessment of Team Member performance, provide guidance, coaching, training and mentoring as needed to help with individual development.
  • Maintain effective communication with internal Team Members and external customers.
  • Communicate with customers and supplies on a wide variety of quality-focused topics, specifically escalation issues.
  • Coordinate projects and initiatives with Sales, Account Management, Operations, Implementation, and Engineering teams.
  • Support the quality lab as needed with these functions: Perform inspections for quotes, and ensure quality standardization Identify all parts requirements and document discrepancies Resolve discrepancies and maintain documentation Prepare, submit and get approval of PPAP Appropriately store all pertinent data, information and correspondence
