About The Position
Sun Hydraulics, LLC in Sarasota, FL has a paid Quality internship opportunity available for Summer. Interns are offered an introductory hydraulics class and the opportunity to see how the different quality/engineering classes are applied in a manufacturing and engineering business but also an opportunity to learn how the business operates. Toward the end of the internship, we ask interns to give presentations suggesting improvements that they may have identified during the defined project. The three-month, summer internship is the beginning step toward future employment at Sun Hydraulics after graduating from your designated program.
Requirements
- MUST BE A JUNIOR OR SENIOR STUDENT TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION
- Hands on, self-motivated students from quality, mechanical, mechatronic, engineering technology, agriculture, electrical/electronic, and industrial engineering programs are encouraged to apply.
Nice To Haves
- Undergraduate students that have had fluid power or hydraulics course work are especially encouraged to apply.
- Previous internship experience in a manufacturing environment is useful, but not necessary.
- Our preference is for students who have an interest in a quality/engineering career working in Florida.
Responsibilities
- Analysis of process capability by applying statistical methods
- Creating and updating technical instructions for manufacturing processes
- Streamlining various non-conforming data for analyses
