About The Position

Consolidated Aerospace Manufacturing (CAM) is the primary division of Stanley Black & Decker Aerospace. We are a leading innovator and strategic partner in the manufacturing of fasteners, fittings, and engineered products for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. CAM is currently comprised of nine subsidiaries across the United States split among three segments. Starting Pay: $26/hour Job Summary: The Quality Assurance Intern will support the Quality Department within an aerospace manufacturing facility that produces precision metal fittings. This role provides hands-on exposure to aerospace quality systems, inspection processes, documentation controls, and regulatory compliance requirements. The intern will work closely with quality engineers, inspectors, and manufacturing teams to ensure products meet internal, customer, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a program in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and specifications
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Coursework or exposure to quality systems, auditing, or inspection processes
  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical documents and instructions
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and work in a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and production equipment
  • Ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs, with reasonable accommodations required by law
  • Must comply with all company safety and PPE requirements

Responsibilities

  • Assist with inspection documentation for incoming, in-process, and final inspections
  • Support the review and control of quality records, certifications, and manufacturing travelers
  • Help maintain compliance with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100 and ISO requirements
  • Assist with nonconformance reports (NCRs), corrective actions, and root cause documentation
  • Support calibration tracking and documentation for inspection and measurement equipment
  • Participate in internal audits, quality reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist with data collection and reporting related to defects, scrap, and rework trends
  • Maintain accurate and organized quality files in accordance with document control procedures
  • Follow all safety, quality, and confidentiality requirements
