About The Position
We are looking for 3rd shift availability. Shift hours are Friday through Sunday 5am to 5pm. The position involves coordinating between Veritas Steel Production and DOT Inspectors to ensure DOT witnessing of production operations and QC hold points are being completed. Responsibilities include performing visual inspections of material, layout checks, rotational capacity tests on bolts, and monitoring welder qualification tests. The role requires working with outside inspectors to resolve quality issues and ensuring compliance with approved WPS by monitoring and recording welding parameters. The candidate must be able to read and understand the Welding code and Specifications, perform dimensional checks on lay downs and shop assemblies, and develop improvements in the quality control process to facilitate the flow of work through the shop.
