The position involves verifying the correct assembly at the in-process assembly stages as described in the applicable inspection plan. The individual will perform physical inspections of the assembled product prior to any functional tests to ensure safe completion of the product. Responsibilities include using production control systems to generate reports for product documentation files, performing final inspections of completed products, and confirming modification status to ensure compliance with current requirements. The role also requires verifying the correct configuration and identification of the end product, preparing and completing all applicable release documentation, and ensuring compliance with quality procedures affecting the production process. Additionally, the individual will assist in troubleshooting technical problems of work in progress, participate in continuous improvement efforts, maintain tool calibration logs and schedules, and perform other functions as assigned that do not conflict with the final inspection function. Cross-training in other complementary skills and moving between production assignments that utilize multiple skills as needed to support production requirements is also expected. The technician will participate in the cross-training of other technicians and is responsible for observing all applicable safety requirements and reporting any unsafe practices or conditions immediately.
