About The Position

The Quality Inspector with our Columbus, Georgia location is a key member of our site's quality organization and will monitor production and provide quality testing and data collection of lithographic plates utilizing imagesetter, densitometer and other devices. Evaluations include audits to ensure visual inspection criteria meet specifications. Provide guidance to finishing and process line operations for proper disposition of product quality issues. Maintain and control Tech Center facility, instrumentation, and equipment. Prepare lab coatings and coat samples. Participate in continuous improvement, incident investigation and other team projects.

Requirements

• Quality control or laboratory experience preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills.
• Computer skills to include MS Office Suite and preferably SAP.
• Skill or experience in quality control including basic knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends/holidays as required by business needs.
• Climbing, walking, standing, lifting of up to 50 lbs., working around chemicals, subdued lighting.
• Ability to wear PPE (e.g. static-dissipating steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, gloves). Clear vision at 20 inches or less, color vision and ability to adjust focus.
