Requirements

  • Ability to manage priorities and work independently with an appropriate sense of urgency and minimal supervision
  • Good reliable attendance history
  • Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and other sources of information with minimal supervision
  • Baseline computer skills: e-mail, data entry in Excel, Access, and D365, how to navigate in Windows.
  • Must have basic math skills: addition/subtraction, multiplication/division
  • Ability to use various test instruments (calipers, micrometers, rulers, various electronic test equipment). The candidate can be trained on these, but must demonstrate the aptitude for this type of work

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in an incoming inspection role, including use of inspection equipment
  • Knowledge of card manufacturing

Responsibilities

  • To maintain proper safety standards according to established policies and procedures including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed in the production area
  • Actively participate and sustain all 5S activities and routine
  • Perform inspection on incoming materials according to standard work, using all appropriate tools and instruments
  • Enter all inspection results in D365 and inspection database
  • Escalate all material non-conformances to supervisor for review and guidance
  • Participate in the storage and retrieval of quality records resulting from inspections.
  • Willingness to learn the calibration process, lead effort to ensure all Idemia equipment is kept up-to-date for calibration, maintain database, contact and arrange calibration services with outside vendors, ensure proper organization and storage of calibration records.
  • Interact with Warehouse team as needed to obtain and return material samples

  • Willingness to be trained on use of all inspection tools and instruments, and department procedures.
  • Willing to work overtime if needed. Overtime is very rarely needed, but must be flexible.
  • Support and understanding of ISO 9001 and 14001, VISA/MC/PCI, customer, and any other specifications and requirements
  • Assist fellow employees solve problems. Be the backup for the other QA Inspectors as needed
  • Assist the supervisor to maintain workflow in the department and to coordinate department functions with the production schedule
  • Must follow procedures and guidelines as defined by the Employee Handbook and all department procedures and guidelines.
