Quality Inspector
About The Position
Performs first article, in-process and\or final inspections.Ensures that only acceptable product moves to the next operation and\or ships.Ensures that all products have passed all inspection, test requirements, andthat appropriate records are maintained. Ensures that any product that failsany portion of the detailed inspection plan or test requirements arecommunicated, tagged, and appropriate records are maintained. Reports findingsto Quality Manager and works with appropriate functional areas to resolvediscrepancies. Performs quality control inspections on products using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicator, and snap gauge, to ensure product meets specifications. Collects and records data from inspections to ensure accuracy and compliance to customer/internal drawings, procedures, and specifications. Identifies and documents defects or deviations from specifications. Conducts visual inspections to ensure products meet visual appearance requirements. Follows established procedures and guidelines for quality control inspections. Completes Detailed Inspection Plans (DIP) and AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR)
Requirements
- 5years' experience as F/A, In-Process and/or Final Inspector in a Manufacturingenvironment.
- Proficient in GD&T
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects or deviations fromspecifications.
- Excellent data collection and record-keeping skills.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and standards. AS9100D
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately.
- Proficient B/P and specification interpretation
