About The Position

Taylor Corporation is looking for a Quality Inspector to join our 3rd shift team.

Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Basic measuring skills – able to read a ruler and other measurement devices
  • Basic problem-solving skills
  • Basic computer skills (open, save, print a file, enter data)
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on the production schedule
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Constantly operates machinery and handles print materials
  • Frequently required to move inside the facility
  • Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull, and/or carry)

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience within the print industry or a fast-paced, high-production environment

Responsibilities

  • Use your eye for detail to verify that the final work product (statements and letters) matches written instructions and meets production standards
  • Examine material by confirming required manufacturing or industry specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials
  • Return products for rework if needed and complete documentation to confirm rework
  • Explain to operators and supervisors how the product doesn’t match client instructions
  • Walk around to different machines to verify job accuracy
  • Cross-train in different departments to further develop your skills (postal, shipping, hand table)
  • Report problems or concerns with quality results to senior management immediately
  • Ensure that all items going out the door are 100% accurate
  • Input data into the production database
  • Learn about our production process and the role that QA plays in it
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures and complying with regulations
  • Inspect materials and products for conformance to specifications using fixed or preset measuring instruments
  • Ensure materials and products meet tolerance levels for quality and performance and are not irregular or damaged
