About The Position

Teems Fabrication is seeking a Quality Inspector to be responsible for performing in-house inspections of welded and machined components, including final acceptance or rejection. Additional duties include: Actively participates, understands and promotes corrective actions as part of normal job duties Communicate discrepancies to peers and coworkers professionally to ensure compliance to company requirements Process non-conformances independently and submit to management for approval Inspect parts, weldments and assemblies as per drawings, requirements and instructions Perform First Article Inspections Evaluate defects and explain to co-workers root cause and corrective actions Lead by example to motivate co-workers to improve in all areas of the business Self-manage job responsibilities and multitask to ensure all assigned work is completed accurately and to company standard Any other duties as assigned or requested by the Quality Manager

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to use tape measure and calipers for measuring
Previous quality/inspection experience
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
This person requires excellent communication skills and the ability to evaluate others work independently.
Must be experienced with working in a shop environment, fully understand shop safety regulations, have hands-on knowledge of inspection techniques, calipers, tape measures, and blueprint reading skills.

Previous experience in a welding environment a plus
