About The Position

Perform product testing and inspection (visual, dimensional, pressure decay, vacuum decay, etc.) Conduct cross‑checks at each operation stage against prints/drawings, travelers, inspection sheets, Control Plans, and visual criteria Issue gauges to employees and ensure all gauges are calibrated and properly identified Collect, document, and enter inspection results and quality records Monitor gauge inventory and quality‑related supplies Identify, document, and report nonconforming product Ensure all inspections and tests follow the required inspection protocols Train operations personnel on updated or changed quality inspection processes Support plant‑wide communication of Quality Alerts and quality concerns Exercise the authority to stop production when nonconforming parts are detected Assist other members of the Quality Department as needed Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (required)
  • 20/20 vision in at least one eye and must not be color blind (Corrective lenses allowed if normally used)
  • 2–3 years of experience in a related quality function
  • Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to determine material types and gauges
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Comfortable working in a Windows‑based computer environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift: Up to 25 lbs regularly, Up to 50 lbs frequently, Up to 100 lbs occasionally (with assistance)
