About The Position

Position Summary The Quality Inspector performs receiving, final, and tool inspections on a wide variety of in-house or supplier materials.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Fluent with MS Excel, MS Word, and MRP/ERP software
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly and remain on feet for long periods of time
• Thorough knowledge of precision measuring tools such as; calipers, micrometers, height gauges, surface plate, etc.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn
• Ability to read and interpret; prints and BOM’s
• Extremely organized, acute attention to detail, and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
• Ability to operate a fork lift safely and rig odd loads of material safely
• Self-motivated and able to work within tight deadlines
• Ability to adapt to the work environment, deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events, while promoting a positive outlook
• Extremely dependable; consistently at work and on time
• Excellent team member; driven to contribute to the team effort
• Good communication skills; both written and verbal
• Respect for the Company’s resources; treats company equipment, funds, time and co-workers with respect

Responsibilities

• Inspect components per print for dimensional accuracy
• Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests
• Rejects and returns non-conforming materials
• Documents inspection results by completing reports, forms and logs and summarizing and inputting data into quality database.
• Ensures appropriate documents are received and correct for all receivables in accordance with company policy
• Reviews own work for accuracy before passing to lead for review
• Acute attention to detail, maintains a high level of accuracy
• Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
• Performs other duties as directed by Management
