About The Position

Regency/Sierra Plastics – El Paso Job Description Title: Quality Control Inspector Reports To: Quality Manager Status: Full Time/Hourly (40 hrs/week; additional hours as needed to support organization and individual goals) Job Requirements Ability to perform repetitive tasks High school diploma or equivalent Industrial Truck License Motor coordination, manual and finger dexterity Job Preferences Job Summary To review product, in-process, inform Production personnel of Non-Conformance’s and suspect material. Essential Job Functions Assist Production Teams in performing First/Last-Piece and In-Process Inspections and Control Plan Verification (Check-off) Sheet documentation at required frequencies, in situations where the Production Team is unable to do these properly. Monitors correct Part ID, Lot Control, labeling, packaging, and handling of all part numbers in the production area for conformance to Quality Assurance requirements. Report non conformances detected through Quality Technician and ensure proper ID, segregation, and disposition of non-conformance material. Assist with maintenance, verification and audit of Production Gauging and measurement equipment. Define lot and sample size to lines than takes randomly samples per each line. Layer auditing each line once per shift, to ensure that the proper essential inspection components and process are being utilized. Perform carton quantity audits. Maintain General housekeeping. Vision - 20/20 vision, or corrected vision, good depth perception, and no color deficiency required 100% of the time. Hearing - Good hearing is necessary to respond to customer calls. Environmental Conditions - Relatively diverse office work in a fast paced environment. Temperature controlled atmosphere. Sometimes necessary to enter the production area, where the temperatures can reach over 100 degrees, noise levels average around 90 decibels, and occasional dust and fumes may be encountered. Machinery/Tools/Equipment - Calipers, utility knives, rulers, pin gages, hardness gages, check fixtures, typewriters, computers, printers, fax machines, and telephones.
