About The Position

The quality inspector will maintain quality standards by performing receiving, in-process, final and other quality inspection functions. Must have strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Must demonstrate technical quality assurance knowledge and have strong inspection knowledge. • Read shop drawings and identify critical dimensions, specifications and tolerances. • Inspect manufactured output samples using the appropriate drawing, specifications and tolerances and procedures. • Record inspection results by completing reports and escalating any conditions or patterns that fall outside the acceptable range. • Create Non-Conforming Reports (NCR) when discrepancies are found. • Assist in finding root cause analysis for non-conforming processes / products as well as implementing corrective and preventive actions. • Performing other quality related tasks assigned by the quality manager / supervisor.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of experience
  • Must be able to sit and stand intermittently, use a keyboard, climb stairs occasionally, and lift up to 25 pounds with or without accommodations
  • ISO 9001:2015
  • Tape Measure
  • Caliper
  • Good Documentation Skills
  • Read Drawings
  • Read Tolerances
  • Highly motivated person who can multitask and handle a high volume of inspections
  • Must be able to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16” increments, and caliper with depth gauge to .001”
  • Perform required duties with minimal supervision
  • Communicate and interact well with others in a team environment to achieve company quality objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel

Nice To Haves

  • Some experience working in a quality related role is a plus
  • Able to generate pareto charts and graphs
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) preferred
