About The Position

Objective: To support production through testing, inspection, and auditing of products, processes, and tools with the highest level of quality and efficiency.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience of quality inspection or 1 year of service in Production at Power Drives, Inc.
  • Experience in blueprint reading
  • Experience with measurement tools and techniques (ex. Calipers, micrometers, scales, etc.)
  • Familiar with Coordinate Measuring Devices
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional customer orientation
  • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
  • Basic mathematical and reasoning skills with the ability to grasp new concepts quickly
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing supervision
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs.
  • Ability to be cross trained in other functions
  • Ability to stand throughout entire shift

Responsibilities

  • Execute assignments as given by the Supervisor or Group Leader
  • Immediately inform supervision of all equipment, process, material, safety, and quality concerns
  • Follow all work instructions, policies, work rules, safety guidelines, and work procedures
  • Meet or exceed all quality and quantity requirements
  • Responsible for product inspection at defined intervals
  • Responsible for the validation of first piece production runs
  • Responsible for any quality related testing required by the customer
  • Responsible for insuring compliance to customer/quality system requirements
  • Assist in the external/internal auditing process through audit participation
  • Performs process audits and inspection audits
  • Utilize a range of measurement tools and techniques (ex/ calipers, scales, gage blocks, fixtures, 3D measurement, etc.)
  • Training other team members as assigned
  • Participate in daily housekeeping of assigned areas and other cleanup efforts as assigned
  • Participate in problem solving, continuous improvement, and customer complaint resolutions efforts
  • Read and understand product blueprints and technical data sheets as required
  • Perform basic preventative equipment maintenance as assigned
  • Accept reassignment to other departments as workload dictates
