Kurita’s corporate philosophy is to study the properties of water, master them and create an environment in which nature and humanity are in harmony The Quality Inspector is responsible for performing detailed inspections of welded components, fabricated vessels, piping systems, and assemblies to ensure compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and internal quality requirements. This role is fully on‑site at a customer location in Boise, Idaho and requires strong technical expertise, professionalism, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and customer quality personnel.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Hands‑on experience inspecting PVDF/PP piping welds for high‑purity or semiconductor applications.
  • Experience inspecting PVC piping and bonded assemblies.
  • Familiarity with vessel fabrication, skidded systems, and internal component installation.
  • Experience inspecting MEP system on site.
  • Strong understanding of WPS, WQTR, and PQR documentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and fabrication prints.
  • Proficient with mechanical measuring tools and inspection equipment.
  • Competent with MS Office applications, including Excel and Teams.
  • Excellent working knowledge of ASME B31.3 and familiarity with ASTM, ASME, AWS D1.1, and NACE standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently at a customer site while maintaining professionalism and communication.
  • Solid problem‑solving skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback to fabrication teams.

Responsibilities

  • Weld & Fabrication Inspection Conduct visual inspections of welds to verify compliance with ASME, AWS, and customer specifications.
  • Review Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS), Procedure Qualification Records (PQR), and Welder Qualification Test Records (WQTR).
  • Inspect fabricated vessels, skidded systems, and internal vessel components.
  • Perform in‑house inspections of fabricated parts and assemblies.
  • Piping & High‑Purity Systems Inspect PVDF/PP piping welds for high‑purity semiconductor applications.
  • Inspect PVC piping, bonding, and internal vessel PVC assemblies.
  • Verify installation of internal vessel components and assemblies.
  • On site inspection When equipment arrives at site after shipment and after equipment has been moved into place by Contractor
  • Documentation & Reporting Prepare detailed inspection reports, including photos and supporting documentation, and submit them to the Quality Manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections, weld activities, and fabrication processes.
  • Ensure documentation meets customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.
  • Collaboration & Support Work directly with customer‑site quality personnel to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Provide guidance to welders and fabrication personnel to ensure adherence to standards and specifications.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, and project teams to ensure inspection activities align with project schedules and deliverables.
