What You Will Be Responsible For: Approves incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. Approves in-process (Fabrication) production by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; communicating required adjustments to production supervisor. Approves finished products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; returning products for re-work; confirming re-work. Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions; calling for repairs Maintain files in the Quality Assurance Department Performs Mechanical Pull tests. Understand and coordinate operation of optical comparator Maintains Die and Fabrication Print files within the quality office Performs hardness & length measurement checks per SOI 82-05-01 Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing re-work and waste; inputting data into quality database. Any additional quality-related information that may be required in the performance of inspection. Work independently and as part of a team. Assist other personnel and perform other duties as required per supervisor. Inform the Supervisor of any equipment problems or any other problems. Work in a safe manner always wearing all required Proper Protective Equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean, clutter-free workstation. Able to participate in a collaborative environment. Comply with safety policies and procedures. Accepts feedback from the Team Leader to ensure the bundles meet safety standards. Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
