About The Position
The Plastic Component Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting and testing molded or fabricated plastic parts to ensure they meet company and customer specifications. This role ensures consistent product quality by conducting visual, dimensional, and functional inspections throughout the production process.
Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs as needed.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in quality inspection, preferably in plastic molding or plastics manufacturing environment a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform in-process and final inspections of plastic components.
- Visually inspect parts for defects such as warping, surface imperfections, contamination, or color variations.
- Verify that components meet dimensional, cosmetic, and performance specifications according to drawings, blueprints, or quality standards.
- Communicate any nonconforming parts or quality issues to production and quality leadership promptly.
- Maintain inspection stations, equipment, and tools in clean, calibrated condition
- Follow all company safety and quality policies and maintain an organized work area.
