The Quality Inspector is the final authority for Quality Assurance on product quality within the facility. This role exists to identify risk early, enforce standards consistently, and prevent customer-impacting defects. 2nd Shift Hours: 1:00p - 9:30p + OT as needed

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Manufacturing or trade experience
Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
Basic math, measurement, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools

Responsibilities

Inspect incoming materials, in-process fabrication, and finished HDPE products against: Customer orders, drawings, specifications, and standards
Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections
Verify weld quality, fabrication workmanship, and material conformity
Document all inspections clearly and accurately
Stop work and escalate when quality requirements are not met
Apply and enforce the Quality Management System (QMS)
Understand and correctly use all quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions
Support and maintain certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, FM, customer-specific requirements)
Participate in internal, external, and customer audits
Maintain organized, traceable, and retrievable quality records
Identify, document, and manage: NCRs, PRAs, RGAs, customer complaints, and internal defects
Support root cause analysis and corrective action development
Verify effectiveness of corrective actions
Communicate quality issues clearly to production, engineering, and management
Perform product testing as required (internal or customer-requested)
Properly use and care for inspection and testing equipment
Assist with management of M&TE calibration status and records
Verify operational and performance qualifications where applicable
Train production personnel on quality requirements, inspection points, and defect awareness
Maintain training and competency records
Reinforce quality expectations through daily interaction on the shop floor
