About The Position

In the Quality Inspector role, you will perform detailed and specialized inspection activities to ensure products meet or exceed customer specifications. This includes selecting the appropriate inspection equipment, methods, procedures, and techniques based on product requirements and customer expectations. Ensure all checklists, red tags, and written process changes are completed and approved with required certified personnel signatures. Communicate issues to area supervisors, production managers, and other stakeholders promptly to support timely resolution of CARs prior to shipment. Maintain detailed records of all defect data to support a comprehensive historical database. Properly operate, calibrate, and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. Review technical drawings and inspect structures to identify and isolate defects, collaborating with supervisors, production managers, engineers, and product managers as needed. Support ongoing problem‑solving initiatives and continuous improvement activities across the operation. Verify that work has been completed in full accordance with specifications and requirements. Perform incoming inspections on critical parts to confirm documentation accuracy and compliance with current drawing revisions. Prepare Wisper Defective Material Reports (DMRs) for nonconforming items and coordinate return authorization with suppliers. Inspect reject parts received with hold tags from work areas to confirm non‑conformance and document findings appropriately. Maintain and update critical part codes and ensure proper record retention for all critical components.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience
  • Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. This means that Eaton will not support any CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT plans, F-1 to H-1B cap registration, O-1, E-3, TN status, I-485 job portability, etc.
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate area of the Greenwood facility (50-mile radius) will be considered for this position.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication abilities, including persuasive skills and analytical problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups, contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime in support of business needs.
  • Utilize various hand tools to assemble and verify quality in a Lean environment.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of assembly experience.
  • 1 year of experience in MS Windows environment (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • 2 year technical degree in enginering.
