About The Position

Position Summary: The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that the products being produced meet quality standards and specifications. The inspector will review products and material, measure objects compared to their physical specifications, run quality test and identify defects. The inspector is also responsible to review supplier paperwork such as certifications to ensure they are compliant to Customer requirements. Pay: $23-$25/hour (DOE) Plus $1.50 night shift differential Schedule: Sunday-Tuesday and every other Wednesday 5pm-5am Thursday-Saturday and every other Wednesday 5pm-5am Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Examine raw materials, components, and finished products to ensure they meet specified criteria. Perform visual inspections, measurements and various tests to identify defects or deviations from standards. Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and non-conforming products. Report defects to relevant personnel. Communicate with production, engineering and management to provide feedback on quality issues and collaborate on solutions. Train production workers on quality standards and inspection techniques. Conduct final inspection to ensure products meet all quality standards. Cross train in production to fill in gaps Qualifications: Required: Highschool diploma or equivalent 1 year of quality inspector experience in a manufacturing environment minimumExperience using measuring tools such as calipers, drop gauges, and measuring microscope Able to read drawings/specifications and be able to interpret requirements Ability to pass and maintain a yearly vision/eye exam to ensure accuracy in quality inspections Preferred: Experience with GD&T is a plus J-Standard certified Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Attention to detail Verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of basic math and computer skills Working Conditions / Physical Requirements: The physical demands listed below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requirements
