About The Position

The position involves working with precision measuring instruments to ensure that all work meets close tolerance requirements. The role requires the ability to interpret complex drawings, blueprints, and specifications to effectively plan work operations. Quality assurance is a key aspect of the job, as the individual will monitor their own work and prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting any non-conformances. Additionally, the position requires reporting any inefficiencies or issues encountered during machining processes. Safety and cleanliness in the work area are also emphasized, with adherence to safety guidelines being mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Use precision measuring instruments to very close tolerance requirements
• Use and interpret precision measuring instruments
• Work from written procedures, complex drawings and blueprints, sketches, operations sheets, specifications and instructions to plan work operations
• Monitor quality of own work to assure adherence to quality standards and prepare detailed inspection reports as required, document non-conformances
• Determine and report any inefficiencies, defective materials, unusual conditions and machining issues
• Keep required time and maintain productions records
• Responsible for the safety and clean-up of own area
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures
