About The Position

We are currently searching for an experienced and highly-analytical Quality Inspector to join our production department. As a Quality Inspector, you will uphold the safety regulations of our company and supervise the production process to guarantee that all our products meet quality expectations. The chosen candidate will perform regular product evaluations, record inspection results, and recommend improvements to the production process. To excel in this role, applicants should demonstrate great attention to detail and have excellent technical and math abilities.

Requirements

  • In-depth knowledge of quality standards, regulations, and requirements.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools and inspection equipment.
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality control techniques and testing methods.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and requirements.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., AS9100) and tools (e.g., Root Cause Analysis, CAPA) is preferred.
  • Prior experience in aerospace quality inspection or a related field is highly desirable.

  • Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections and tests on aerospace components, assemblies, and systems to ensure they meet specified requirements and quality standards.
  • Perform visual inspections, dimensional measurements, and functional tests using precision tools, equipment, and specialized aerospace testing methods.
  • Inspect materials, finishes, coatings, and surface treatments for adherence to specifications and industry standards.
  • Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for other departments.
  • Verify the accuracy and completeness of documentation, including drawings, specifications, and certifications.
  • Perform dimensional measurements and tests using various tools and equipment such as calipers, gauges, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMMs).
  • Conduct functional and performance tests on finished products to verify their compliance with quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with aerospace industry regulations, standards, and customer requirements such as AS9100, FAA regulations, and military specifications.
  • Monitor and enforce adherence to quality control procedures and work instructions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices related to aerospace quality assurance.
  • Identify and document non-conformances, defects, and discrepancies.
  • Initiate and track non-conformance reports (NCRs) and perform root cause analysis investigations.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to address non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
  • Verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
  • Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, test data, and quality-related documentation.
  • Prepare inspection reports, quality metrics, and other quality-related reports.
  • Communicate inspection findings, quality concerns, and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Read travelers, plans, and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
  • Document inspection results, including deviations, defects, and non-conformances, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Participate in supplier assessments and audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Evaluate supplier quality performance and provide feedback to suppliers for improvement.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in quality-related training programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Implement and promote quality improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and regulations related to aerospace quality assurance.
