About The Position
The Quality Inspector position at Bloomy in South Windsor, CT, is crucial for ensuring the quality of all materials and products throughout the production process. The role involves various inspection methods to guarantee compliance with quality standards and requirements. The inspector will be responsible for interpreting and following quality requirements, industry standards, customer specifications, and written instructions. This position requires a keen attention to detail and accuracy, as the inspector will inspect and dispose of all incoming materials and in-process products to ensure they meet quality, customer, and regulatory standards. In addition to performing thorough inspections of materials, products, equipment, documentation, and production processes, the Quality Inspector will document, record, and report inspections, measurements, defects, deviations, nonconformities, and noncompliance into the appropriate electronic or manual systems. Maintaining and monitoring the company nonconformance log is essential, ensuring timely and accurate actions, recording, and closure. The inspector will also communicate and assist with the resolution of quality issues for internal and external stakeholders, which includes responding to nonconformance material reports (NCM), incident reporting, and requests for supplier return material authorizations (RMAs). The role requires active participation in corrective actions as a team member, including collecting, comparing, and analyzing data for comparisons, recommendations, and root cause analysis. Continuous monitoring and enforcement of compliance with all quality policies, procedures, and processes are also key responsibilities. The position is based at the company headquarters in South Windsor, CT, with occasional travel within the northeast United States.
