The position involves performing incoming receiving inspections on aerospace and defense materials, parts, and assemblies to ensure they conform to engineering drawings, specifications, and purchase order requirements. The role requires the use of precision measurement equipment such as laser trackers and CMMs to conduct detailed dimensional inspections and generate accurate inspection reports. The inspector will interpret and analyze engineering drawings, GD&T, models, and specifications to determine inspection requirements, and will verify and document inspection results using quality and metrology software systems. Additionally, the inspector will support the calibration and verification of inspection tools and measurement systems to ensure accuracy and traceability. Collaboration with engineering, production, and supply chain teams is essential to resolve nonconformances and inspection issues, while ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, ITAR, and customer quality standards. The inspector will also maintain organized inspection records and contribute to the continuous improvement of inspection processes and metrology capabilities.
