Basic Function: Responsible for ensuring that all foundry aluminum and magnesium castings meet quality control requirements prior to shipping. Incumbent will assist in the electronic and mechanical gage calibration process and assist quality team in resolving quality issues. Must learn to effectively utilize database systems to record monitor quality findings. Must be able to read/interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, perform dimensional checks, and visual inspections for overall quality and craftsmanship. Position necessitates communication with a wide variety of foundry individuals and the Quality Team. Must understand how to use measuring devices and have knowledge of quality processes and acceptable quality standards. Prepare Inspection plans and enter in database.
