About The Position

The Quality Inspector Tester (3rd) position at Eaton's ES AMER ESS division involves conducting inspections and tests to ensure that products and components meet engineering and customer specifications. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience governed by an ISO Quality System Certification.
  • Ability to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship.
  • High degree of knowledge in tools and connector construction, quality requirements, and quality control methods.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with other functional areas.
  • Experience in machining, assembly, or similar manufacturing processes governed by an ISO Quality System certification.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and proficiency in geometric dimension and tolerance.
  • Ability to operate a computer with reasonable speed and high accuracy, including Excel and Word.
  • Physically able to perform essential functions of the job, including lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct predefined and ad hoc investigative tests, inspections, and audit procedures to ensure product conformity.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and housekeeping practices and company policies.
  • Inspect incoming, in-process, and first article components and assemblies visually and dimensionally.
  • Use precision measurement equipment to perform inspections and generate reports.
  • Coordinate the disposition of customer returns in cooperation with Warranty Services.
  • Maintain, calibrate, and ensure traceability of inspection and quality measuring devices.
  • Verify assembly and MOV work completion to specifications and perform layered process audits.
  • Participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement efforts.
