About The Position

OVERVIEW Cadrex is searching for a Quality Inspector III to directly support site manufacturing practices through development, evaluation, and continual improvement of processes using quality concepts, principles, and methodologies with the goal of consistently meeting or exceeding customer expectations of quality. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Use measuring devices such as Coordinate Measuring Machines, calipers, micrometers, dial indicators and hardness testers. Read and interpret blueprints and solid models Visual inspection of product according to customer requirements Perform first piece, in-process and final inspection Document inspection results by completing required reports/logs Identify and quarantine all non-conforming product Generate and summarize non-conforming reports for discrepant products Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and identify and address issues with equipment that may need repair Inspect and approve incoming materials where and when needed by confirming they meet specifications Attend department meetings as required Inspect and release products for shipping by ensuring proper documentation or certifications are provided as outlined by customer requirements. Assist with calibration of measuring equipment. Collaborate with the team for corrective action in reaction to customer complaints, vendor issues, and internal process failures Participate in internal process audits including dimensional workmanship and documentation verification Complete PPAP and 1st article documentation development and processing Lead and train Level I and II inspectors as needed to increase performance

Nice To Haves

  • 5 or more years of hands-on inspection experience in an AS9100, CNC machining environment.
  • Thorough understanding of GD&T.
  • Experience with PC-DMIS and Solidworks a plus .
  • Strong skills in the Microsoft Suite.

Responsibilities
