About The Position

This role is responsible to perform and verify visual, dimensional, electrical, mechanical, environmental, and chemical, inspection functions relating to source, first article, receiving, in process, final and test operations using company or customer supplied drawings, equipment and/or procedures. The position actively participates in collaboration with high-performance work teams in continuous improvement in the different processes that may be required, and follows Eaton policies. The hourly rate for this position is 24-30 per hour, but this is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 1 year of Quality experience in a Manufacturing Environment.
  • Experience with AS9100 Quality System and product/process auditing techniques.
  • Residing within the immediate geographical area (within 50 miles) of City of Industry.
  • Must be a U.S. person within the meaning of ITAR (U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident, Political Asylee, or Refugee).
  • Must use basic measuring tools (caliper, micrometer, etc.).
  • Basic four function mathematics, some SPC data collection.

Nice To Haves

  • Detailed knowledge of Aerospace products, manufacturing processes and inspection techniques.
  • Experience in aerospace products and applications.
  • Certified as Internal or Lead Auditor (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – both verbal and written with ability to make necessary status reports and technical presentations to Eaton management and customer.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and verify visual, dimensional, electrical, mechanical, environmental, and chemical, inspection functions relating to source, first article, receiving, in process, final and test operations using company or customer supplied drawings, equipment and/or procedures.
  • Actively participation in collaboration with high-performance work teams in continuous improvement in the different processes that may be required, among others, follow up Eaton policies.
  • Reviews and approves inspection/test data.
  • Read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and procedures.
  • Support AS9100 requirements through the QMS by supporting Quality Best Practices.
  • Inspect, evaluate, and formally accept parts, materials, and assemblies in accordance with engineering drawings, customer specifications, and internal quality standards.
  • Review and approve inspection and test data to ensure compliance, accuracy, and proper documentation.
  • Read, interpret, and apply mechanical and electrical drawings, specifications, and technical procedures, including dimensions, tolerances, notes, and workmanship criteria.
  • Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections using appropriate tools and approved methods.
  • Document inspection results, identify nonconformances, and coordinate with responsible departments to resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain traceability and ensure all inspection records, certifications, and acceptance documentation are complete and controlled by company procedures.
  • Maintenance of inspection records in accordance with company procedures.
  • Generate and assist in the corrective/preventive action process.
