Performs routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels throughout various stages of production. Visually inspects sub-assemblies and HLA level products using a magnifier or other tools as well as lot sampling methods, or 100% inspection.

  • Participate in root cause analysis activities to identify cause of quality issues.
  • Enters standardized information into GSF.
  • Supervise work area according with 5S standards.
  • Performs routine and repetitive inspection procedures to ensure quality levels at various stages of production.
  • Visually inspects Sub-assemblies and HLA level products using a magnifier or other tools and using lot sampling methods, or 100% inspection.
  • Keeps supervisors informed and escalates issues when needed.
  • A minimum of Middle school certificate is required.
  • One (1) year of related experience in manufacturing process is required; Two (2) or more years of related experience in the position is preferred.
  • Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing process (SMT, Backend) and HLA product builds.
  • IPC-A-610 and IPC-A-620 certification or equivalent is required.
  • Advanced reading, writing and math skills are required (i.e., 12th grade level).
  • Inspection skills.
  • Knowledge of PCBA and HLA product builds.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all company and customer information.
  • Must complete training for and become certified for Quality Assurance within six months of obtaining the position and must maintain QA certification to remain in the position.
  • Basic PC skills are required (i.e., keyboarding skills, basic mouse usage, opening and closing programs and files using MS Windows/Google Workspace) and familiarity with applicable Plexus software packages.
  • Advanced electronic manufacturing experience, including knowledge of workmanship standards, is preferred.
